I want to power my 240v water pump (2000w peak, 500w running), my 120v air filtration system (400w peak, 225w running), and maybe a 120v air conditioner (1500w peak, 1200w running) by wind/solar system. I would like to have it wired so that the grid AC would charge batteries when needed (extended days of no wind/solar). I'm thinking of a separate 50 amp breaker panel for the system. I live in nelson county, virginia. I'm thinking that the system should be 2kw wind and 2kw solar because I know that solar is feasible, but not sure about wind. I do want some kind of wind turbine. I'm thinking of a budget of around 10,000.00.

I need ideas of the BEST way to do this...

edtech,
The 2kW Wind Turbines with Auto Furl Overspeed Protection, Free Shipping - SWG FD3.6-2000 is a a 48 volt output turbine.
You might consider the GTFX3048
Outback GTFX3048 3000W, 48V Sealed Grid-tie/Off-grid Inverter/Charger for Wind Generators & Solar systems

Outback is a very good bang for the buck inverter.
